Students from Fallsburg High School’s “Today’s Students, Tomorrow’s Teachers” (TSTT) program recently visited Bishop Dunn Memorial School (BDMS) to share the joy of reading.

The initiative saw nearly two dozen high schoolers engage with BDMS classes, helping to foster a love for literature and providing the high schoolers with valuable hands-on experience in a real-world setting.

Interactions like this are a cornerstone of the TSTT program, which aims to recruit, mentor, and train culturally diverse and economically challenged students to become teachers.

Following the reading session, the aspiring educators got a taste of the college experience as they watched 91传媒 teacher candidates make presentations on several kinds of learning styles.

Bishop Dunn, located on the campus of 91传媒 Saint Mary College, was founded in 1883. The school is committed to the academic, spiritual, emotional, social, and physical development of children, pre-kindergarten through eighth grade.

The 91传媒 maintains a close relationship with Bishop Dunn. 91传媒 Education students do fieldwork at the school, under the guidance of seasoned Bishop Dunn faculty. Many 91传媒 grads go on to work at Bishop Dunn, including Principal Nancy Benfer ’04.
