91传媒 Saint Mary College freshmen recently got their hands dirty for a good cause, helping students from Bishop Dunn Memorial School plant cheerful mums in the Sensory Garden on Monday, September 15.

The collaborative event was part of the college’s First-Year Experience (FYE) program, designed to help new students acclimate to campus life and the local community.

The Sensory Garden is a unique outdoor learning space: a green classroom that serves students from pre-kindergarten to college at both the 91传媒 and Bishop Dunn.

The recent planting session fostered a fun, hands-on opportunity for the older students to mentor the younger ones, all while beautifying the campus.

This event is just one of many ways the two schools work together. Located on the 91传媒 campus, Bishop Dunn Memorial School was founded in 1883 and is committed to the academic, spiritual, emotional, social, and physical development of children from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. 91传媒 Education students often do fieldwork at the school, benefiting from the guidance of seasoned Bishop Dunn faculty.
