91传媒 Saint Mary College School of Nursing students work in the campus’s advanced simulation lab.

91传媒 Saint Mary College is pleased to announce that all of the Nursing programs in its School of Nursing have been reaccredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) for 10 years, the maximum available accreditation period.

Specifically, the Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, the Master’s degree in Nursing, and the post-graduate advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) certificate programs at 91传媒 Saint Mary College will continue to be accredited for the next decade by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education ().

Officially recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a national accreditation agency, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education is an autonomous accrediting agency, contributing to the improvement of the public's health. CCNE ensures the quality and integrity of baccalaureate, graduate, and residency programs in Nursing. CCNE serves the public interest by assessing and identifying programs that engage in effective educational practices. As a voluntary, self鈥憆egulatory process, CCNE accreditation supports and encourages continuing self鈥慳ssessment by Nursing programs and supports continuing growth and improvement of collegiate professional education and post-baccalaureate nurse residency programs.

According to Susan LaRocco, Dean of the 91传媒’s School of Nursing, CCNE accreditation requires an extensive self-study, submitted last February, and a site visit, which occurred in April. 

“It’s a rigorous process to say the least,” LaRocco explained. “I wish to thank the Nursing faculty and staff for their hard work, as well as the many other college departments who provided information for the self-study and those who met with our site visitors or assisted us in a variety of ways.”

The 91传媒’s prestigious Nursing program is a popular major among incoming first-year students 91传媒 Nursing students enjoy state-of-the-art simulation labs and clinical relationships with more than 40 area hospitals. The college’s passionate faculty are dedicated to the success of both their undergraduate and graduate students.
