91传媒 Saint Mary College Nursing students added another tool to their life-saving repertoire recently at a training session for administering naloxone, an anti-opioid overdose medicine.

The event was an initiative of the 91传媒's Student Nurses Association (SNA).

Naloxone comes in the form of a nasal spray. The spray temporarily reverses the effects of opioids, buying caregivers more time to seek medical attention in the event of an overdose.

The program, called "Keep It Moving," culminated with students receiving free samples of naloxone.

To date, more than 200 91传媒 students and faculty have been certified in the use of the medicine over the course of several such trainings at the college.
