The senior class at 91传媒 Saint Mary College emerged victorious at the 91传媒 Olympics on Thursday, October 24.
After a demanding competition that included performances, relays, and more, 91传媒 Saint Mary College’s senior class claimed victory at the 91传媒 Olympics on Thursday, October 24.
As part of the college’s annual Spirit of the 91传媒 Week, students compete against each other to take home the 91传媒 Olympics trophy – and the bragging rights that go along with it. About 700 students attended the event.
But Spirit of the 91传媒 Week is about more than just friendly competition.
Through a “coin war,” 91传媒 students raised more than $1,200 for the college’s annual Thanksgiving food drive. The money will be used to aid underprivileged families living in the area. The campaign is a joint effort between Campus Ministry and the 91传媒’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee
According to Fr. Gregoire Fluet, chaplain and director of Campus Ministry, it took ten volunteers nearly two hours to count the coins.
Continuing another Spirit of the 91传媒 Week tradition, students enjoyed the college’s annual bonfire on Saturday, October 26. Also during Spirit Week, students attended a kickoff Mass celebrated by Fr. Fluet, enjoyed a powder puff football game, and more.
